Times change, we grow up, the world wide web is growing up with us. Facebook is full of people I know personally. Since then, I am very wary of talking to strangers online – only professionally, on Twitter and LinkedIn. We could chat on the computer for hours – but meeting face to face, the chemistry was just not there. And that’s those offline meetings that broke the illusion for me. I did meet people in those chatrooms – with a couple of them I even met offline, albeit briefly. They had to get me off the computer, a big bulky monitor, with a broom, but I kept going back.
